A Parisian Affair:
Cinnamon Lavender Affogato
There’s something so effortlessly chic about a classic affogato. My version, which I like to call A Parisian Affair, combines homemade cinnamon lavender gelato with a shot of bold espresso. The result is a dreamy blend of floral, spicy, and bitter notes — the kind of indulgence that instantly transports me to a sidewalk café in Paris.
Sometimes the simplest treats are the most enchanting. An affogato (Italian for “drowned”) is traditionally made by pouring a fresh shot of espresso over a scoop of gelato. For this one, I used my homemade cinnamon lavender gelato — a soft, floral twist that pairs beautifully with the rich espresso.
If you’ve never tried making an affogato at home, it’s a quick way to turn an everyday coffee moment into something luxurious and café-worthy.
